Data Deletion

01Delete inside the app

Open AMG Athletes, go to Profile, open Account Settings, then choose Delete my account. For security, the app may ask you to re-enter your password or authenticator code first.

Deletion removes the Firebase authentication account and app records tied to it, including the private account, public member page and hosted profile photo, authored Journey items and media, Story media posted through an authorized coach or administrator account, comments, Hype, follows and requests, blocks, tournament registrations, support requests, progress, favorites, assessments, notification tokens and inbox records, username reservation, AI usage and feedback records, and app-managed access records where deletion is allowed. If the account was tagged in an AMG-owned Showcase Video, the account tag is removed but the AMG-owned Video remains.

Direct messages are not deleted with the account. They stay in the other person's inbox, shown as from a "Deleted account", and AMG Athletes may keep them as long as needed for safety, abuse prevention, investigations and legal obligations.

Reports are not deleted with the account either. Reports you made, and reports about your account, are kept as safety records.

Before deletion, the app displays the categories you will permanently lose and asks you to confirm. Some server cleanup can continue after the account is disabled or authentication is removed. There is no account-recovery period, and deleted app content and progress cannot be restored.

02Request deletion outside the app

If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the email address on your AMG Athletes account with the subject "Delete my AMG Athletes account".

We may ask for extra verification before deleting data so that another person cannot delete your account without permission.

03What may be retained

Some records may be retained when required for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, accounting, dispute handling, store purchase history, or unresolved support and safety issues.

Offline downloads are removed when account deletion completes on that device. Saved AI chat history, saved AI workouts, and the AI consent choice are local-only app data and are not part of the server deletion. Delete chats individually where available, or remove the app to clear its remaining local storage.

Analytics and advertising providers, app stores, payment and entitlement processors, and other service providers may retain campaign, device, purchase, fraud-prevention, opt-out, or legal records under their own retention rules. AMG Athletes may also keep limited suppression, deletion-job, or opt-out records so it can complete deletion, prevent fraud, and honor privacy choices.

Data already processed by a service provider may remain for its stated retention period. OpenAI may retain AI prompts and responses in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days under standard API controls, unless a legal or safety exception requires longer retention.

04Subscriptions are separate

Account deletion does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel subscription billing in Apple ID Subscriptions or Google Play Subscriptions before deleting the account if you do not want future renewals.

05Response time

AMG Athletes aims to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days unless a longer period is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons.
